Joyce DiDonato, Winner of the Second Prize in Operalia 1998, stars as Dido in the album release of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, with Maxim Emelyanychev conducting Il Pomo d’Oro. Recorded live at Essen Philharmonie, it was part of a European tour that included prestigious venues such as the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and Teatro Real de Madrid
