Julie Fuchs, Winner of the Second Prize in Operalia 2013, presents her fourth solo album: “Je te veux“. The album pays tribute to Erik Satie (1866–1925) and the Belle Époque era through melodies and songs by some of his contemporaries.
She is accompanied by Alphonse Cemin on piano, Félicien Brut on accordion, Alexis Cardenas on violin, Davide Vittone on double bass, as well as Florent Baffi and Operalia 2017 First Prize Winner Levy Sekgapane.
“With lightness, whimsy, and tenderness, I conceived this program as a tribute to freedom. The freedom of Erik Satie, a unique and elusive figure, who knew how to innovate and navigate boldly between styles and genres, defying any strict definition.”
