The Bayerische Staatsoper’s 2025 Munich Opera Festival featured Operalia Winners Victoria Karkacheva in the title role of Penélope, Sonya Yoncheva as Dido and John Holiday as Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas, Rachel Willis-Sørensen as Elsa and Kostas Smoriginas as The King’s Herald in Lohengrin and Nicholas Brownlee as Wotan in Das Rheingold
