The 2026 Salzburg Festival features Maestro Plácido Domingo and Operalia Laureates Elsa Dreisig, Nadezhda Karyazina, Dmitry Korchak, Jack Lee, Lisette Oropesa, Rolando Villazón, Bogdan Volkov, Pretty Yende and, in their house debuts, Victoria Karkacheva, Kristina Mkhitaryan, Christina Nilsson and Serena Sáenz!
Elsa Dreisig, Victoria Karkacheva and Bogdan Volkov share the stage as Fiordiligi, Dorabella and Ferrando in Così fan tutte; Dmitry Korchak appears as Conte di Libenskof in Il viaggio a Reims; Jack Lee, a participant in the Festival’s Young Singers Project, sings Brühlmann in Werther and Arthur in King Arthur Junior; Kristina Mkhitaryan takes on the role of Micaëla in Carmen; Christina Nilsson stars as Ariadne in Ariadne auf Naxos; Nadezhda Karyazina is featured in Mahler’s Resurrection and Serena Sáenz in Mozart’s Mass in C minor; Lisette Oropesa stars in a recital featuring Spanish and Latin American selections; and Maestro Domingo, Rolando Villazón and Pretty Yende were special guests in a celebratory performance of Il viaggio a Reims marking Cecilia Bartoli’s birthday.
